At Small Improvements we're committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice is to describe to you the basis for the personal data we collect from you, or that is provided by you as part of our recruitment process.
The recruitment process requires applicants to provide us with the applicant data. The necessary applicant data results from the job descriptions and basically includes the following information:
*Application documents such as CV and certificates
*Other voluntary information
--Purposes of collection and processing--
When you apply for a job posted by us, the information we collect / you provide is used to determine whether or not you're a good fit for current and future roles at our company.
--Legal basis for the processing of your personal data--
The processing of the applicant data takes place in order to fulfill our (pre-) contractual obligations in the context of the application process according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. DSGVO and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO if the data processing e.g. is required for us in the context of legal proceedings (in Germany, § 26 BDSG applies additionally).
--Transmission of your personal information--
We use Breezy HR, a web-based hiring platform, to assist in our recruiting process. As part of that process Breezy HR will be processing the personal information you've shared in accordance with Small Improvements instructions.
Breezy HR, Inc. complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries.
--Responsible body for the processing of your personal data--
The competent and responsible body for the collection, processing and use of your personal data is Small Improvements GmbH, Neue Schönhauser Straße 13, 10178 Berlin.
--Duration of storage--
We'll hold on to your data for up to 6 months and if it turns out we'd like to keep it around longer, we'll reach out to you for consent first.
You can let us know if we should delete the data before the retention period expires.
--Your privacy rights--
Your privacy rights are regulated in Chapter III (Art. 12 ff.) of the GDPR. According to these rules, you have a right to information about personal data stored about you, about the purpose of the processing, about possible transfers to other places and about the duration of the storage.
If data is incorrect or no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, you may request that the processing be corrected, deleted or restricted. As far as provided in the processing procedures, you can also view your data yourself and correct it if possible.
--Complaints about the processing of your personal data--
